Pacific Northwest Plein Air 2022

On Display through August at 2022 Maryhill Plein Air Show

Sara and I along with neighbors, Debbie and Joe Schneider, drove to Maryhill for the opening. Before we even arrived, one of my paintings had sold and had been removed! Fortunately fellow artist, Celeste Bergen, had taken this picture beforehand!

UPDATE: Jerry and his friend and painting buddy, Carol Hansen, have been in the field around Hood River, The Dalles and Mt. Hood since Monday morning, getting out early to beat the heat. The goal is to paint 4-5 works. Thursday they turned in completed paintings to Maryhill. Judging occurs today and Sunday the show opens to the public. Stay tuned for photos from the show.

For the first time I’ll be participating in this annual event in the beautiful Columbia Gorge.

The awesome beauty of the Columbia River Gorge is muse for more than 40 artists who will spend four days painting en plein air.

Paintings will be on view and available for purchase in the Sales Gallery of the museum's M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust Education Center from July 31 - August 27, 2022. Proceeds support Maryhill Museum of Art.

We are pleased to partner with Friends of the Columbia Gorge to showcase the connection between arts and conservation.

THANK YOU to our sponsors: Friends of the Columbia Gorge; Scottsdale Artists’ School; Tokki Art Supply, Hood River; Dave Burbach Photography; Kathleen Marquart; Byron & Sue Henry; Stephen & Laura Muehleck
